Why these awards are different

Financial services awards too often reflect marketing spend rather than genuine investor sentiment. The Finimize Awards exist to change that.

Every winner is decided by data gathered directly from the Finimize community.

The 2026 UK Awards surveyed thousands of UK retail investors across 16 categories between February and April 2026. Winners were determined by those responses with category thresholds applied to ensure statistical validity.

Highlights from 2026 Awards
  • Trading 212 won four of eleven platform awards – but their lack of fees isn’t the whole story.
  • Vanguard leads on trust across both platform and product categories.
  • Fee sensitivity rose sharply with age: the 55-64 cohort is the toughest audience to please.
  • Among investors with £50,000 or more to invest, AJ Bell, Interactive Investor, and Hargreaves Lansdown were the preferred platforms – a very different picture from the mass market.
  • Crypto product scores clustered closely, signalling that the market here is still open for differentiation.
  • Newer investors rated platforms more generously; longer-tenured investors were more critical.
